Program Director’s Message

Media Communications is more than a higher education degree.

We offer a series of rich courses preparing media creators with relevant industry knowledge and skills. You’ll have the opportunity to work on media projects that empower you to build an effective résumé and collection of work by the time you graduate.

To us, it’s more than crafting an impactful message through photography, videography, audio, design, and social media. It’s more than managing complex media projects or events.

Media Communications is a family. We are a family of learners and educators who support each other’s highest selves.

Intro to Media Communications & Media Sociology: The aim is to take the first steps to transition from media as a hobby or interest to a profession by exploring important strategies to build on throughout the program.

Abilities: Using psych-based strategies to take well-designed media assets from being aesthetically pleasing to behavior-changing persuasive pieces.

Interests: Good Conversations, Anything Outdoors, and Exploring New Places

New Media Tools: Begin the journey of creating engaging digital content using and curating cool creative tools / resources while getting acclimated to the MCBS!

Digital Video & Audio Production: Understanding fundamental techniques and concepts of preproduction and production processes.

Abilities: Inspiring others to have the confidence to do their best work.

Professional Development 1 & 2: Preparing your professional brand and presence for a career in your industry.

Abilities: The ability to understand behaviors and trends, learn new skills, and ask questions.

Interests: USA Tennis, coaching and coaching education, basketball, football, all competition, all types of shoes and fashion, mid century furniture, street photography, finance, becoming a millionaire…

Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC): You’ll learn the fundamentals of creating an integrated marketing plan (consisting of both traditional and digital marketing tools), while also understanding the importance of establishing a particular target audience and streamlined creative process.

Abilities: Encouraging people to be their authentic selves, while also creating behind-the-scenes magic for different industry events.

Interests: Music, sports, photography, traveling, volunteering, good food & Full Sail’s Black Student Union (BSU) club!

In memory of Isabel Faria, Course Director for the MCBS program. Isabel Faria was a wholeheartedly devoted wife, mother, educator, and friend. Anyone who was with Isabel instantly felt her unconditional care and sincere interest in their life. Students called her a teacher with an absolutely pure soul who made them feel safe.
