Self-Care Practices for the Mind, Body & Soul
DESCRIPTION:
According to a study conducted by New York University (NYU), 55% of students in the United States claimed their biggest stressor was related to academics. Additionally, it was found that 53% of U.S. students neglect their social life because of stress. This month, we will explore best practices for managing stress and creating a more balanced lifestyle while earning your college degree. We will participate in activities ranging from meditation practices to table games; and hear from special guests such as MCBS alumni and staff from Full Sail’s Academic Success team.
WHAT: This session will focus on stress & burnout and feature special guests from Academic Success (Stacie Aldrich & Michelle Moreno). Students will also create a self-care plan as a follow-up activity.
