During this campus experience, students will learn how to create depth in their photos by strategically painting light, highlights, and shadows within Adobe Photoshop. We will be using a variety of tools such as dodge and burn to give our photo a clean 3D like pop to make it stand out! Media assets and work files will be provided for students to work alongside the instructor during the demonstration. Students are invited to bring a media piece they’d like to practice applying these new tools and techniques during the second half of the workshop.

During this virtual session students explore an introduction to typography and how to apply principles to their cross-platform media projects. This session serves as an introduction or refresher to the selection of type for story, graphics, and interactive media. In order to participate, students must bring a fully charged laptop and headset to class.

Portfolio Playdate is a monthly virtual session where students explore creative concepts and challenges through collaborative mixed media expression. The virtual classroom is transformed into a creative sandbox to gain a better understanding of both the process and product of creating digital media. Through these engaging challenges, students and faculty push the boundaries of how to create and connect in this virtual community. In order to participate, students must bring a fully charged laptop and headset to class.
