DESCRIPTION:

Students will take on a branding mission for a cause of their choice. Over three days of Blend, groups of students will be learning, producing and presenting a set of media deliverables. This will potentially include a logo, style guide, video, landing page etc. Join us (Juliana and JoLynna) for a branding journey!

What you’ll need: Bring your laptop fully charged. Adobe Ai downloaded and other content creation apps of choice. As well as...your desire to change the world (most importantly)!

WHAT: Branding 101 Lecture, case studies as well as team/cause assignments.

At this Sing-a-Long, students will get the chance to re-write and modernize the lyrics to the classic, "We didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel. Then we will jump into the Control Room to have students record their new version of the song. Followed by a class on how to mix vocals to a music track.

The 2022 Media Olympic Games will be an opportunity for students from the four different nations represented (Facebookiny, Twitteropia, Instagramistan,TickTokiland) to compete for medals and glory for thier countries. Each Friday competitors will receive a daily challenge to be completed with their teams and presented on that day and a weekly challenge that they can complete throughout the following week. The county to win the most gold medals wins bragging rights and the Media Olympic Trophy.
