FRIDAY BLEND PRESENTS: FILMFEST 2026

Timeline:

Accepted submissions announced June 15th (Start advertising accepted films by July 1st)

FilmFest Rehearsal: August 6th, 2026

FilmFest Event Date:  August 7th, 2026

DESCRIPTION:
What is FilmFest? FilmFest is created for students, by students. It exists to give student filmmakers and early-career creatives in Central Florida a high-quality, accessible stage to share their work and find their people. Filmmakers and volunteers alike, build the kind of confidence and experience that prepares them for higher-stakes moments ahead. It is not about being recognized by the industry yet. It is about learning what it feels like to show up professionally, so that when the bigger moments come, they’ll be ready.

Using an established platform through the Veteran Student Union, we host a full awards show experience at the Orlando Health Fortress, a growing community of filmmakers, faculty, alumni, and industry supporters. Creating a meaningful milestone for every student who submits their work.
