Phil Pallen - Standing Out on Social Media

Hall Of Fame 7 was full of many amazing people straight from the industry passing on their knowledge and expertise. One of those people was Phil Pallen, brand strategist and celebrity brand expert. Pallen has worked with over 200 clients including contestants on Shark Tank and Dancing With The Stars, foreign leaders, and even a Nobel Peace Prize winner. Pallen helps them brand themselves through websites, business cards and social media.

Last year MCBS student Melvin Vigo got the chance to attend one of Pallen’s panels on personal branding tips. To make it in the social media industry you need to stand out, Pallen says:

“The ones who make it to the next level are the ones who are memorable.”

When using social media Phil suggests everyone needs to have consistency while also giving plenty of attention to their bios.

Phil Pallen is very passionate about branding and believes that with his tips and expertise you can be a “Twitter rock-star.” He has been invited as a public speaker at venues across the world, and was recently in London, England in October 2016 for What Journalists Want. If that’s not enough, check out his recent blog post, Mastering Public Speaking.

Phil Pallen will be at HOF8, so be sure to lookout for when he is speaking, it will be helpful for those looking to amp up their social media game and get over those public speaking jitters.

So we want to know, what are you doing to be memorable on Social Media? Let us know on Twitter using the hashtag #bememorable: @wearemcbs
